Christians and the Arts Watching movies growing up, I've found there's two kinds of entertainment: Christian and Non-Christian. What always frustrated me was that the quality of Christian entertainment was often cheesy, mediocre and unrealistic while Non-Christian entertainment had high quality, good storytelling and a firm grip on reality. As a Christian myself, I do not believe that Christian entertainment should be mediocre at all. For some reason we frown on the arts, the very thing we were made for. Our chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever, and how can we glorify God through mediocrity? Since when has anyone enjoyed mediocrity?
